Various pelagic fish can be spotted in the channel, with dogtooth tunas hunting. It is a drift dive: depending on the direction of the current, you start on the north or the south side of the channel and go with the flow. The master carpenters of the Hukuru Miskiy, the old mosque in Malé, were from the island of Kondey.
