The east reef of Koh Tachai offers a hard coral plateau at 12 m that descends gently to sand at 30 m, teeming with enormous schools of barracuda, giant trevally, and fusiliers. Leopard sharks rest on the sand, while manta rays and whale sharks make regular visits between November and May.
