Maldives
Moray eels, butterflyfish, angelfish and emperor fish are seen at the site. In the Maldives, boat diving is usually more comfortable in the dry season, from November to April. Laamu Atoll is home to three NGOs with marine conservation and research projects: Manta Trust, Blue Marine Foundation and Olive Ridley Project. The atoll was also declared a Hope Spot by the NGO Mission Blue, two months before the atoll's protected areas were announced.
