Maldives
It lies on the corner of the reef beside the channel where water flows in and out of the atoll, which brings abundant and varied marine life. On top of the reef there are schools of oriental sweetlips, snappers and parrotfish. Looking out into the blue, sharks and eagle rays may pass by.
It is one of the reefs visited on the full-day excursions from Kuredu. That excursion visits 4 reefs in the south of Lhaviyani Atoll, with lunch on board the dhoni.
In Lhaviyani Atoll, visibility is usually best from May to December, also depending on the moon phase and the direction of the current. For shark encounters, December to April is usually the recommended time in the atoll.
