Kandima's house reef has turtles and reef fish. It is home to a great variety of fish, diverse corals and other marine species.
Kandima sits on an outer reef plateau, and the resort built a platform in the lagoon, close to the edge of the reef, that serves as a base for exploring the house reef.
In the Dhaalu and Faafu atolls, reef sharks, turtles and eagle rays are usually seen throughout the year, and manta rays are more common from January to April.
