Maldives
Isdhoo Island forms the northern tip of Laamu Atoll, and the reef on the open-ocean side holds two separate sites, Isdhoo East and Isdhoo West. Isdhoo West lies on the west side of the island and runs long and continuous, with overhangs at depths between 15 and 25 m. Colourful corals adorn its whole length, with plenty of fish all around and pelagics patrolling the blue. On Isdhoo Island, the Old Mosque is believed to have been built from the materials left over from the construction of the Hukuru Miskiiy, the mosque in Malé. In Laamu, a coral reef forms most of the atoll's circumference, and where it breaks, channels with plenty of pelagic action are formed.
