Ilhote do Prumirim lies next to Ilha do Prumirim, and at low tide you can walk to it over the rocks, where natural pools form. In the pools among the islet's rocks you can see schools of colorful fish, rays and, with luck, sea turtles.
Dolphins are frequently sighted in the area between Praia do Prumirim and the island. At Ilha do Prumirim, from October to April the sea tends to be calmer and the water clearer.
