Ilha Feia lies in front of the centre of Búzios, inside the bay. It is home to Praia das Moças, a stop on several schooner and speedboat tours.
Underwater, you can watch green turtles and hawksbill turtles feeding, along with colourful schools of fish and several rays: vilão, treme-treme, chita, pintada and raias-prego. The rock is covered in carpets of coral-sol and baba-de-boi, as well as soft corals and sponges. Groupers and moray eels hide in the crevices.
In November 2025, the MPF went to court seeking the removal of goats illegally introduced to the island decades ago, which destroy the vegetation. The island is federal property.
