Brazil
A variety of fish species find shelter around Ilha dos Porcos Pequena. Above the water, the island's beach has very fine sand and small dunes that shift position with the strength and direction of the wind.
The name dates back many years, to when fishermen and local residents raised pigs on the island. There are no pigs there today, but the name stuck. The Almada area, home to caiçara communities, is known for its traditional Festa do Camarão (Shrimp Festival), held in July.
