Brazil
At the small beach on the north side of Ilha de Maranduba, freediving makes it easier to observe the underwater life. At the left corner of this small beach, a short trail over the rocks leads to a viewpoint overlooking Praia do Pulso and the Castelo dos Arautos.
At about 6.2 hectares, the island is covered by Atlantic Forest and has no cultivated land. Near Praia de Maranduba stood the Tobocean, a former attraction made up of a series of water slides and slides on a structure in the sea. Measuring more than 40 m, it was moored next to the island when it was not in operation and, once, it turned up stranded on neighboring Praia da Lagoinha.
