Ilha das Gaivotas is the smallest of the islands in the Ilha da Vitória group. The islet has a whitish colour from the build-up of gull droppings, which is where its nickname Cagadinha comes from. On dives in the Ilha da Vitória area it is possible to see turtles, rays and a great variety of fish. In Ilhabela, diving tends to be best between December and March.
