Maldives
In Dhivehi, "beyru" means "outside", a term common in dive site names in the Maldives. In the Haa Alifu atoll, the sea usually starts to calm at the beginning of December and stays calm until May, before the monsoon. In the region, manta season typically runs from November to March. The atoll has plenty of tropical reef fish, including sharks, stingrays and turtles.
