Maldives
It is not a straight wall: the reef has several large bays, a plateau and coral blocks with overhangs and crevices, and the top on the east side is covered in large table corals. In the bays, white-tips are often found sleeping, black tips patrolling and a leopard shark or two dozing. Up to a dozen semi-mature black tip reef sharks, 1.2 to 1.4 m long, often circle the plateau, and turtles, napoleons and stingrays are also seen in the area. The site is also a fan coral paradise, where eagle rays and barracudas can be seen as well.
