Maldives
The nickname One Palm comes from a single palm tree on the coast, visible from the water. In the region, there are cleaning stations where pelagic thresher sharks pause so that cleaner wrasse can remove their parasites. Also in the region, green and hawksbill turtles are frequent and there are occasional encounters with the Napoleon wrasse. Thresher sharks are usually seen throughout the year, at dawn, in this region.
