Maldives
"Kandu" means "channel" in Dhivehi. The edges of the channel have overhangs covered in yellow and blue soft corals, where unusual species such as the ghost pipefish are often seen. On the sand there are fields of garden eels and stingrays. In the extensive sandy area next to the channel edge, spaghetti worms sway in the current.
