Egypt
With no easy road access, the dive trip to Ras Abu Galum was traditionally made by camel; today it is more common to go by speedboat. In the Ras Abu Galum area the coral is preserved, with a chance of seeing mantas, octopus, strange-shaped sponges and a great variety of reef fish. Turtles, eagle rays and giant barracuda come in from the open sea to the cleaner wrasse that populate the region.
