At Gota Iris you will often find octopus, puffer fish, porcupine fish, moray eels, swarms of anthias and glass fish, as well as beautiful soft corals. In the area, Shaab Iris lies next to a large reef shaped like the letter T, surrounded by a sandy flat with coral blocks, where there are several dive sites, among them Shaab Iris, Erg Iris, Gotta Abu Nugar and Shaab Abu Nugar. At Shaab Iris, small blocks scattered over the sandy bottom carry hard corals, and the area is good for underwater photography.
