Maldives
The caves serve as shelter and a resting place for various animals: turtles, sharks of several species and even eagle rays. In the Goidhoo, Fehendhoo and Fulhadhoo region, the dry season, from December to April, is usually the best time to visit, with sun and little rain. Baa Atoll, which includes Horsburgh Atoll and its islands, was declared a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in 2011.
