Maldives
Fotteyo Kandu has a network of caves and swim-through tunnels. The reef is covered in yellow soft coral, huge sea fans and hard corals, forming an underwater canyon.
The caves are rich in soft coral and reef fish.
The atoll is home to Fotteyo Falhu, the largest unbroken barrier reef in the Maldives, 50 km long and the easternmost point of the archipelago. The best time usually runs from November to April, with the calmest conditions. Diving is possible year-round.
