Maldives
On the two tilas in front of the faru there are heavily overgrown overhangs and plenty of schooling fish. During a safety stop at Fish Pan, more than 50 dolphins swam past the group. The site is remembered, along with Barakuda Kandu and Filitheyo Outside, for its abundant fish and big animals.
In Faafu, the good season is usually considered to run from October to March. The monsoon runs, roughly, from April to November.
At the sites of North Nilandhe, in Faafu, a record from 2000 mentions many turtles, frequent sharks (more whitetips than greys), eagle rays and stingrays. The same record cites barracudas, solitary and in schools, napoleons and, rarely, mobulas.
