North Ari Atoll, Maldives
Fish Head (Mushi Mas Mingili Thila), in North Ari Atoll, is one of the world's most famous marine reserves — a quadrangular pinnacle of around 80m, top at 10m and southern flank at 40m. Dozens of grey reef sharks constantly patrol in groups; also Napoleon wrasses, barracudas, batfish and immense diversity of reef fish. Strong current requires advanced level; visibility 20-30m.
