Maldives
This channel is known for the reef manta rays that tend to visit it at a certain time of year, and for large fish; grey reef sharks also appear. The channel funnels nutrients and attracts large fish, such as reef sharks, tuna and barracuda, and its walls have corals and sponges. Eagle rays and reef fish are also part of the marine life. Mantas are usually seen during the southwest monsoon.
