Erg Iris is a pinnacle and set of mushroom-shaped coral formations north of Hurghada, relatively far from the coast, with tops between 8 and 12 m and a base at 25 m. The site is less visited than the Giftun pinnacles and offers a reef in excellent condition with a good chance of sighting reef-tip sharks.
