Brazil
On the open sea side of Fernando de Noronha, Enseada dos Abreus has a natural pool with a coral bottom and plenty of fish, where a moray eel has been seen. There is also a natural pool nicknamed the "jacuzzi", where visitors wait for the tide to go down before moving on to the main pool.
The cove and Atalaia share a common geomorphology: both are coves protected by rocks from the breaking waves. The calcareous sponge Ernstia solaris was collected in the cove in February 2018.
On the way to the cove, the wind gives the trees a twisted look. In the region, the rainy season usually runs from March to July, when the trails get very muddy and call for more time and care.
