El Gilwa East is the eastern face of the El Gilwa reef, in the northern Red Sea area between Hurghada and the entrance of the Gulf of Suez, with a wall descending from 5 to 25 m. The site is less visited and features reefs in good condition with high biodiversity of reef fish and hard corals.
