Maldives
On the wide reef top there are coral formations with striking anemones. In the overhangs of the drop-off live rock cod and moray eels, and in open water there are large shoals of hunting jacks, king mackerel, passing eagle rays and sharks.
The site is among those on the outer reef or in the channel, in the Medhufushi area, noted for an almost certain guarantee of big fish. In the area, divers reported in February 2018, on the outer reef, many turtles, moray eels, tuna, napoleon wrasse, whitetip reef sharks and grey reef sharks.
In Meemu you can dive all year round, but the best conditions tend to be in the dry season, from December to April, with little wind and little rain. Around June, the sea in the atoll is sometimes too rough for boats, and it is worth checking with the dive center.
