Maldives
The reef is bustling with surgeon fish, fusiliers and snappers, and shows black corals, gorgonian sea fans and brain corals. There are garden eels on the sand, yellow Clathria sponges and giant clams in the crevices. Table and finger corals serve as shelter for damsel fish, and tranquil trigger fish and anemone fish complete the scene. In Noonu Atoll, visibility is usually great in February and March. In the region, the best season for mantas usually runs from October to January.
