Maldives
In the blue water pass eagle rays and manta rays, and on the reef there are schools of snapper and fusilier, as well as turtles. In the canyon are glass fish, lionfish and scorpionfish, and sometimes a stonefish. Eagle rays glide through the blue water, schools of big-eyed jacks and barracudas circle around the pinnacle, and turtles rest in the overhangs. On earlier visits, eagle rays in formation and two large manta rays have been seen.
On the east side there is a narrow swim-through, exiting into an inner pool. On one side of the thila, a small canyon, sometimes full of glass fish, ends in a small cave that leads up to the top.
From May to November, during the southwest monsoon, there is a chance of seeing manta rays at the cleaning station. During the southwest monsoon, from June to October, millions of glass fish tend to gather in the canyon and in front of the small tunnel.
