Cristal Bay in Nola Penida is the famous dive site internationally known for the Mola mola (ocean sunfish), which visits the waters between July and October for cleaning at depths of 15-30m. The site has exceptional visibility with dramatic thermoclines that cool the water to below 20°C, combined with unpredictable currents that require experienced divers.
