Brazil
At the northern tip of Ilha de Santa Catarina, Costão da Brava is the rock that closes off Praia Brava, and it can hardly be reached from the sand. Seen from the water, it appears as a continuous wall. From the anchorage you can see the whole of Praia Brava, with the buildings set back behind the strip of sand and the hills closing in on both sides. In the region, clear water depends on the sea conditions of the previous days, and the east coast and the exposed islands of Florianópolis tend to have clear water during periods of calm sea.
