Coroa Alta is, alongside Araripe, one of the main reefs of the Parque Municipal Marinho da Coroa Alta. Of the two, only Coroa Alta is routinely explored by the community for tourism.
At low tide, several natural pools of warm water usually form. In them, many species of fish can be seen, as well as corals, molluscs, crustaceans and even turtles.
The reef also has a bank made of coral fragments that looks like beach sand. Its orange tone contrasts with the blue-green of the sea, and you can walk on it.
