Castle Rock is the most famous submarine pinnacle in the northern part of Komodo National Park and is widely considered the best pelagic dive in the park. The summit, just a few meters from the surface, descends to 35 m along walls covered in corals; the extremely strong currents in the channel concentrate grey reef sharks, oceanic whitetip sharks, mantas, giant barracudas, and schools of jacks in uncountable numbers.
