Carnatic is a British paddle steamer sunk in 1869 after running aground on the Abu Nuhas reef, with the hull broken in two parts between 16 and 27 m depth. The wreck is celebrated for its spectacular yellow soft coral coverage and the schools of glassfish inside the hold, making it one of the most photogenic wrecks in the Red Sea.
