Beyond the scenery, the Canyon's corridor concentrates great biological diversity. Nearby lies the wreck of the fishing boat Mucuri, which struck the rock on a foggy day when the skipper could not make out the Ilhas Rasas. In the Ilhas Rasas area, the best season tends to run from November to May, but there is diving all year round.
