Fernando de Noronha, Pernambuco, Brazil
Between July 2007 and June 2008, Cagarras Rasas was the most visited dive site in the Fernando de Noronha National Marine Park, with 5,154 dives in that period.
The site is marked by huge stones covered with fire corals, where many ornamental fish can be found. The rocks hold shrimp, damselfish, surgeonfish, sponges and corals. These big rock formations work as cleaning stations, where shrimp and small fish clean barracudas. Angelfish and turtles are also part of the site's marine life. On a dive in March 2011, barracudas, rays, morays and many species of fish were seen.
In Noronha, diving conditions tend to be the calmest and most predictable from March to July.
