The Boonsung Wreck is the carcass of an abandoned tin dredge from 1984, fragmented by the 2004 tsunami into several metal blocks lying on sand at 18–20 m, a few kilometers west of Khao Lak. The artificial wreck shelters moray eels, lionfish, juvenile barracudas, and octopuses, making it an excellent dive site for divers of all levels.
