Maldives
Boadduvaa (Boaddoo) is a tiny islet with a few palm stumps, almost entirely isolated in the lagoon on the northern side of Gaafu Atoll. The island covers 1.28 ha and is leased under the varuva regime, with a registration dated 28 May 2018. The dive follows the reef around the islet: the sandy bottom starts at a 45° angle and gradually eases off, and on the island side there is a wall of hard coral, with isolated coral pillars rising from the sand. On the night dive, the house reef is described as very healthy, a complete coral garden, with nudibranchs and crabs.
