Beacon Point lies south of the Similan Islands and features a fringing reef with an abrupt drop from 5 to 30 m filled with varied hard corals — staghorn, brain coral, and bottle coral. The site is frequently included in liveaboard itineraries for afternoon and night dives with moderate currents.
