Maldives
Banana Reef, in North Malé (Kaafu) Atoll, was one of the first dive sites discovered in the Maldives, in the 1970s — its curved shape names the location. Dramatic reef of 5-30 m with caves, projections and vertical walls covered in colorful soft corals; whitetip reef sharks, grey reef sharks, napoleon wrasse and barracuda schools. Visibility up to 30 m, moderate to strong current.
