Brazil
It is said that mermaids lived in the calm waters of the basin, sheltered by the rocks, and that they bathed there and enchanted the sailors passing by the island; this is where the name comes from. The legend of Encantadas, which gives its name to the neighboring village, is linked to the place. In the basin you can see small fish, sea urchins and colorful algae on the rocks. Between the rocks there is a view of the sea, from where ships can be seen.
