At Araçatibinha turtles and starfish can be seen, and most of the fauna and flora is found on the rocks on both sides of the beach. Moray eels, crabs and turtles can also be seen at the site. The site lies next to a pier that supplies liveaboard boats with fresh water, and while the boats fill their tanks it is worth diving on the rocks around the pier or even underneath it. At night, bioluminescent plankton lights up the water and the sand in a neon-green glow.
