Maldives
On the southwest side of the island, the reef is covered with overhangs, both small and large. Dhaalu has around five channels on its western edge and ten on the eastern side, and the currents that run through them bring nutrients that support healthy reefs and plenty of pelagic life. In Dhaalu and Faafu, hawksbill and green turtles are seen year-round feeding on the reefs.
